My hectic work and family schedule had left me unable to have a consistent schedule to commit to my workout regimen. I would regularly put in 10,000 steps a day at work and although I was physically active it just wasn’t enough. It was a friend of mine that started talking about the studio she had been going to (RiseAbove). She talked about the small group setting and the fun group of ladies that she worked out with. That’s when I decided to give it a try. When I first enrolled my main goal was to look and feel better about myself. I knew that attending on a regular basis was going to be the hardest part but after starting I knew that I had to make some changes. I asked for a schedule change at work and realized that I would have to put in the work to get to my goal. At times work and life in general have caused gaps and up and downs in my training but my friend, the people I have met in my classes and the trainer have made me want to come and workout and be apart of a great support system.
My word of advice to anyone looking for a supportive and fun place to get active; “Just do it! Be the boss of you!”. RiseAbove is a safe place to be you and look after your inner body and mind health.
