I had been out of the gym, or, out of any kind of activity for that matter, for almost 8 years. When I came across RiseAbove Fitness I was wanting to change the way I handle my health. I contacted Matt to join a personal training introductory program and upon meeting Matt I had told him “My only objective is to start and finish the 6-week program”. Now I am in week 12, not only did I complete my 6-week program but I continued on with Matt beyond the introductory program. Initially, when I joined all I wanted was to ensure that exercising was an important part of my life and that is what Matt helped me to achieve. In the last 12 weeks, 24 plus personal training hours I have never encountered Matt not focusing on anything other than progress through each session. Constantly motivating and pushing me even during some of my most unproductive weeks he ensured me that normally what would have been my “give up” periods I was able to come in and crush a good workout. His program contains a variety of different workouts. Having someone like Matt pushing me to ensure working out is part of my life, not just an option, but rather a necessity. Personally, I have lost 11 pounds, started eating healthy and dropped my blood pressure. This is not a just a program for me, but it helps to integrate working out as part of my life and making it a habit that I cannot live without.
